Chekesha Van Putten is originally from Los Angeles California, where she undoubtedly developed her love to be in front of an audience. As an award winning spokesmodel, actress, dancer, and now tech entrepreneur Chekesha has made her mark in multiple industries.

Chekesha began her career in front of the camera as a professional dancer, appearing in commercials and music videos. Studying under the tutelage of her mentor Debbie Allen, she quickly gained recognition in the entertainment industry and began booking roles in hit TV shows and films including The Academy Awards, Melrose Place, Mad TV, Third Rock From the Sun, and commercial campaigns for Pepsi, Ross and Taco Bell to name a few. Chekesha fulfilled a lifelong dream when she auditioned and made the Los Angeles Laker Girl squad where she had the privilege of dancing and choreographing for the championship team for 2 years.

Chekesha earned her bachelor’s degree in Communications (Radio, TV and Film) from Howard University with honors and did postgraduate studies at the prestigious Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London, where she honed her craft as an actress. She has continued to add many credits to her professional resume most notably Austin Powers, Batman & Robin, Last Vegas, and American Beauty, where she earned a Screen Actors Guild Award, for best ensemble cast.

Driven to break into the tech industry Chekesha launched her first entrepreneurial venture in 2015 called Tradeshow Casting, which was a job board matching trade show and event talent with companies exhibiting nationwide. In 2017 she expanded her enterprise and launched Castango.com an on demand job marketplace connecting performing talent with short term gigs for projects and events. She has revolutionized the talent market by streamlining the casting process, by eliminating the middle man utilizing the power of technology.

Chekesha’s passion and dedication to the performing arts has inspired her to give back and coach aspiring artists to gain control of their career and cast their dreams. In her spare time she is an avid yogi, loves to read, travel and volunteer with the Junior League of Las Vegas where she works with homeless youth. She feels that to those who much is given much is expected and is dedicated to be of service and to make a difference in the world.
